I’m a undergraduate student at the University of Puerto Rico, Río Piedras Campus. I’m doing my B.S in Integrative Biology and a minor bachelor degree in Social Anthropology. The research that I’m working on is about a severe pest of columnar cacti, the Harrisia Cactus mealybug (H. pungens) and how to control this pest  with a native parasitoid. Leptomastidae, is a parasitic wasp that has a full development inside the mealybug. The primary purpose of this research is  to determinate the capacity of parasitism, behaviors, reproductive rate and adult longevity in Leptomastidae wasp to know the best way to use it as biological control
