Award from Puerto Rico Society for Agricultural Sciences

During the 39th Annual meeting of the Puerto Rico Society for Agricultural (SOPCA) Sciences our laboratory presented two contributions:

  • Distribuicion geográfica de la incidencia de la broca del café, Hypothenemus hampei (Coleoptera: Curculionidae), en Puerto Rico.
  • Occurrence, biology and damage of coffee white stem borer (CWSB) to coffee in Nepal.

At the same meeting Dr. Rodrigues received the highest award confered by the Puerto Rican Agricultural Society – Member of the Year!  The award reads “En reconocimiento por su destacada labor como miembro de esta sociedad y su excelente labor científica en pro del bienestar de la Industria Agrícola Puertorriqueña.”  This award is shared among all laboratory members (current and former staff and students) that have added the best of their intellectual capacity and honest academic contribution to improve the way that we are making science and improving our agriculture and society. It is also shared among all collaborators, laboratory partners and financing institutions that believed on the work of our team.
